The Grammy-nominated artist appears in a new promo for the episode alongside actor James Franco, the host of Saturday’s episode, and SNL cast member Kate McKinnon.
In it, all three do a parody of the kids’ game “rock/paper/scissors,” inspired by SZA’s stage name.
The promo begins with James introducing SZA and Kate and then saying, “Sorry, SZA beats Kate.”
Kate then replies, “OK, but Kate beats James which means…” with James then continuing by saying, “…James beats SZA.”
“SZA beat both of y’all,” replies SZA at the end of the vignette.
The second and last segment of the promo shows Kate dancing in an odd manner while SZA asks her, “You OK Kate?”
Soon, the “Love Galore” singer and James walk away, leaving Kate to her own devices.
Saturday Night Live airs at 11:30 pm ET on NBC.
