ABC/Randy HolmesSZA is one cool camp counselor in her music video for “Broken Clocks.”
Taking place at the fictional Camp Ctrl –named after her Grammy nominated debut album, Ctrl — the visual begins with a creative nod to the famous “Wake Up!” scene from Spike Lee‘s 1988 musical-drama School Daze.
It then takes viewers into another eventful day at summer camp, complete with roasting S’mores by the campfire.
SZA and Dave Free of the Little Homies are credited with directing the music video.
“Broken Clocks” comes from Ctrl and a deluxe version of the disc is expected to arrive later this year.
In addition, SZA is hitting the road with Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q for the first-ever Top Dawg Entertainment tour, called TDE: The Championship Tour, kicking off May 4 in Vancouver.
