Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images Following the powerful performance of her single “My Man” at the BET Awards this Sunday, Tamar Braxton has released the song’s accompanying music video.
The cinematic black-and-white visual for the track, inspired by her parents’ strained relationship, shows the singer checking into a hotel after she suspects her lover is having an affair with her friend.
Even though the hotel’s front desk clerk tells the entertainer that he doesn’t want any trouble, it’s clear that Tamar’s man is in for a world of hurt once she finds him and her friend in a hotel room together.
“My Man” is the first single from Braxton’s upcoming fifth solo album, due out this summer. The as-yet-untitled CD will be the first release on her own label, Tamartian Land Records.
