Tamar Braxton is “elated” to have left the hospital. After discovering last week that she had blood clots in her lungs — pulmonary embolisms, or PEs for short — the singer gave fans an update on her health while speaking with her fellow co-hosts on Thursday’s The Real.

“I mean, I’m just so elated. And I just feel so blessed to come out of the hospital. Because, you know, the realization is that, you know, a lot of people don’t come out of the hospital with, you know, multiple PEs like I had,” she tells Tamera Mowry-Housley over the phone.  “And you know, I just feel really blessed, beyond measure. And I’m just so excited that I was one of the few people who got a chance to come out of the hospital, come on!”

While Tamar didn’t reveal when she will return to the show, she thanked her co-hosts for their support. “Listen, you have no [idea]… I don’t just miss all you guys, I miss all the fans. I miss being in the studio. And, you know, feeling, you know, all the love and the essence of The Real, honey. But to be honest, like, I cannot wait to come back.”

Although she was was forced to quit Dancing with the Stars due to her diagnosis, Tamar is just thankful to see another day. “Honestly, God is so good, honestly,” she concludes.
