“It really does give you that sort of fun, summertime, cookout,” she tells ABC Radio. “I just saw yesterday someone did like a line dance. They’re like coming up with like line dances to it now and like. That’s what it feels like. It just feels like fun.”
The track is the first single from her upcoming album, Passion Like Fire, which will be released in the fall. Tamia recently performed in the Philippines, and she says she loves seeing foreign audiences relate to her music.
“It’s always interesting to see how music connects people,” Tamia says. “I could go to Japan and they’re singing the songs just as you know they are in Manila, just as they are in Houston, you know so it’s just interesting how just music connects everyone.”
Tamia will tour the United States in the fall as she celebrates the 20th anniversary of her self-titled debut album.
