Tyrese has been on a one-man mission to save R&B, and it seem he’s not alone. His TGT bandmate Tank has released his brand-new single, “You Don’t Know,” featuring a guest verse from Wale.
The singer took to his Instagram page to give fans a taste of the song, which samples Patti Labelle’s 1983 classic “If Only You Knew,” before posting the full-length version on YouTube.
On the smooth tune, Tank just wants his woman to trust him while his collaborator confesses he’s got a winner. “Honestly I can’t take it/Baby I’m the sole reason you been winnin’/Lemme paint the story, I don’t play with toys/She told me ‘build me up’ I told her ‘leggo’,” Wale spits.
“You Don’t Know” is the lead offering from Tanks new album, Sex, Love & Pain 2, arriving later this year.
