Bryce Thompson/GQTeyana Taylor is set to dominate the stage at this year’s Red Bull Music Festival New York later this spring.
The R&B siren has been tapped to bring her vibrant interpretation of LGBT ball culture, “House of Petunia,” to life during her performance on May 15 at the Grand Ballroom at Manhattan Center. “House of Petunia” was previously explored in Taylor’s provocative WTP music video.
Taylor’s set is slated to include an audio-visual experience as well as a “provocative stage design and mesmerizing choreography from a world-class team of dancers,” a press release notes.
Taylor previously was recruited for Opening Night at last year’s Red Bull Music Festival Chicago.
Additional performers for the nine-day festival include FKA twigs, Rosalía, Tierra Whack and Holly Herndon and many more.
Tickets for the Red Bull Music Festival New York are now available for purchase via Redbull.com.
In more Taylor-related news, the Harlemite has continued to roll out the accompanying visual elements for 2018’s K.T.S.E. The vocalist recently dropped off the sultry video for her ballad “Issues/Hold On.”
