The Carters’ Everything Is Love debuts at #2; XXXTentacion, Nas, Post Malone, Cardi B in the top ten

The Carters’ Everything Is Love, which dropped on June 16 without any promotion, sold 123,000 units last week, scoring a #2 debut, just behind Youngblood, the latest album by Australian band Five Seconds of Summer. Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s previous solo albums — 2016’s Lemonade and 2017’s 4:44, respectively — both debuted at number one.  

Nasir, Nas’ first album since Life Is Good in 2012, debuted at number five, selling 77,000 units. This is the 12th top ten album of his career.

Following XXXTentacion’s murder on June 18, his most recent solo album, ?, returns to the top ten, catapulting from number 24 to number three.  His first solo project, 17, jumped from #60 to number seven.

Elsewhere on the chart, Post Malone remains at number four with beerbongs & bentleys, while Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy drops from number six to number nine.
