Courtesy of A Concert for Charlottesville and partnersThe Roots and Pharrell Williams are confirmed to perform at a free, all-star benefit concert in response to the violence that occurred in Charlottesville, Virginia during that white nationalist rally in August.
Called A Concert for Charlottesville, the event will take place on September 24 at the University of Virginia’s Scott Stadium.
Justin Timberlake, Ariana Grande, country star Chris Stapleton, alt-rock band Cage the Elephant, and Alabama Shakes frontwoman Brittany Howard are also on the performance lineup.
A Concert for Charlottesville will be hosted by rock group Dave Matthews Band, because Charlottesville is their hometown.
Free tickets will be first distributed to residents of Charlottesville and students, faculty and staff of UVA.
If that doesn’t apply to you, you can request tickets via ConcertforCharlottesville.com. The ticket request period concludes Monday, September 11 at noon ET.
In addition, attendees are encouraged to donate to the Concert for Charlottesville Fund, which will benefit the victims of the events of August 11 and 12, as well as their families, and first responders.
