The Weeknd, Fantasia, and Leon Bridges to pay tribute to this year’s Songwriters Hall of Fame honorees

Image Group LA/ABCThe WeekendFantasia, Leon Bridges and the songwriting duo Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff will be among those paying tribute to this year’s Songwriters Hall of Fame honorees later this month.

This year’s inductees include Jermaine DupriKool & The Gang, and composer Allee Willis.

Fantasia will likely induct Willis into the Hall. Willis co-wrote the Tony- and Grammy-winning Broadway musical The Color Purple, in which Fantasia starred. Willis also co-wrote the Earth, Wind & Fire hits “September,” “Boogie Wonderland” and “In The Stone,” as well as “Neutron Dance” for The Pointer Sisters.

The 49th Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Dinner will be held June 14 at the Marriot Marquis Hotel in New York City.
