After giving fans a behind-the-scenes teaser earlier this week, The Weeknd has premiered his dark visual for “Earned It,” lifted from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack.
In the sultry video, which was filmed at the Palace Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, the singer enjoys a private show from scantily-clad dancers, all of whom are nearly naked, with tape covering their private parts while performing on stage.
The crooner enlisted Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson to ensure his music video compliments the seductive tone of the film.
“I feel like the film and my music is a match made in heaven,” Weeknd said of the clip. “If you listen to my album, even the past work I’ve done, it’s very Fifty Shades of Grey.”
The Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack arrives February 10. The film adaptation of E.L. James‘ erotic novel hits theaters February 13.
