Thousands Calling for Beyonce and Jay Z to Comb Blue Ivy’s Hair

by

Neilson Barnard/Getty ImagesBeyonce and Jay Z are obviously busy preparing for their On the Run 21-concert stadium tour, which kicks off June 25 in Miami, Florida, but one woman in New York City believes they have a more important responsibility — combing Blue Ivy’s hair.

Jasmine Tolliver created the “Comb Her Hair” petition online via Change.org, and more than 3,000 people have signed, it. The petition simply reads: “To: Blue Ivy. Comb her hair.”

Tolliver’s sometimes ungrammatical petition reads as follows: “As a woman who understands the importance of hair care. It’s disturbing to watch a child suffering from the lack of hair moisture. The parents of Blue Ivy, Sean Carter A.K.A Jay-Z and Beyoncé has failed at numerous attempts of doing Blue Ivy Hair. This matter has escalated to the child developing matted dreads and lint balls. Please let’s get the word out to properly care for Blue Ivy hair.”

On her Facebook page, Tolliver, under the name Jasmine Nubia, admitted she was just having fun. She wrote Friday, “I’m just so over with society! Obviously the petition was a joke! It just goes to show you how dumb people really are to believe I would really deep down in my heart start a petition to comb her hair and be DEAD SERIOUS! Your suppose to laugh at stuff like that.”

However many people took her very seriously. One person who signed the petition commented, “I hate when a mother looks like a million dollars with their hair all done and the child looks like they haven’t seen a comb since they were born.”

Not all the comments were in favor of the request. On commenter from Las Vegas wrote, “This is the dumbest thing I have seen in my life, you biddies don’t have anything to but to pick on a child and her parent for her hair, you have no right to assume that you are the authority on anyone’s hair, you judgmental females, that is her child. Not yours!”

There has not been a response from Bey and Jigga.
