Scott Dudelson/Getty ImagesTierra Whack is gearing up for 2021 by reminiscing about her childhood memories and her current relationships with various artists that flourished over the last year.

In an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, the Philadelphia rapper said she appreciates the “family time” she enjoys during the Christmas holiday, as well as “all that snow.”

“I usually go to my family’s house, my aunt Nicki’s house and its just a bunch of cousins and were just having fun laughing and joking — all we do is laugh,” says Whack.

2020 was a good year for the “Dora” rapper, who developed close relationships with Erykah Badu andAlicia Keys, whom she calls “legendary legends.”

“[They’re] just big sisters. I get the best advice from them. We talk on a daily basis,” said Whack who admitted to “killing” Badu in the iMessage game, Anagrams, but “she keeps coming back. She beat me once out of 10 games [but] I let her win…just being honest.”

Whack said her competitive spirit comes from playing sports in high school and bleeds into her music, adding, “[T]hat’s why I rap so good.”

Another highlight for Whack was being featured on Lil Yachty’s latest album, Lil Boat 3.5. She said it was a “huge blessing” to be featured on Yachty’s track “T.D.” with A$AP Rocky and Tyler, The Creator.

“I love Yachty so much. He’s always looking out for me. He’s so genuine,” declares Whack, who wore an “I was adopted by Tierra Whack” shirt from her merch line.

As for 2021, the “I feel good” rapper says be prepared, because she’s “coming back bigger, better, stronger, and just wiser.”
