Beyoncé received one sweet happy birthday message on Monday morning from her proud momma, Tina Knowles-Lawson. The note, written on Instagram, begins, “36 years ago God Chose me out of all the women in the world to be your mother! How blessed could i be? Not because you are a super talented, smart business woman and one of the biggest superstars!”
She continued, “Its because you are the kindest most generous, thoughtful, intuitive, loyal, humble, funny, grounded, grateful and loving human being. I am proud to be your mom. Happy Birthday Baby! I love you with my whole heart.” Tina’s heartfelt birthday letter received over 165,000 likes from fans several hours after it was shared.
Beyoncé’s pop Mathew Knowles also wished his eldest daughter the happiest of birthdays with a teary video message on Instagram. He begins, “Morning Beyoncé. Its September 4th. God, I could remember the day you were born. My first time seeing a baby born. I was actually in the room.”
Mathew continues, while looking visibly emotional, “I love you with all my heart. So proud of you. I just wanted to tell you happy birthday.”
Bey’s 36th birthday on Monday capped off an already celebratory weekend for the icon, who appeared at hubby JAY-Z’s Made in America festival in Philadelphia as a spectator.
