Tina Knowles-Lawson says it’d be really great if daughter Beyoncé invests in the Houston Rockets

by

ABC/Image Group LAEarlier this month, it was reported that Beyoncé was potentially seeking to invest in the Houston Rockets.

Her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, tells TMZ Sports that it’d be “really great” if her superstar daughter actually secured a partial ownership stake in the NBA team.

When asked if Bey would be a good owner, Tina says, “Probably, because it’s her hometown.”

But make no mistake about it — the “Irreplaceable” singer’s mom adds that her daughter’s investment, should it happen, wouldn’t be a vanity project for the icon because she’s, in fact, a big Rockets fan. “I mean we’re from Houston, so why not?” Tina explains.

But as for Tina going to every Houston Rockets game, you can forget it. “No! I live in L.A.!” she says.

As previously reported, the Houston Rockets are currently for sale.  Should Bey decide to go into business with the pro basketball team, it would most likely be a huge boon for both parties.

Beyonce certainly hsa the money to do the deal.

The 35-year-old was the second highest-paid celebrity in the world this year, according to Forbes, having earned $105 million in the past 12 months.

Her current net worth is a reported $305 million.
