In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Tina recalled her favorite moment of the New Orleans ceremony.
“There wasn’t a dry eye on the place,” she says of attendees’ reaction to the couple’s vows. “They were just so heartfelt and I just think the wedding epitomized Solange as a person, and her and Alan’s artistic flare.”
Beyond discussing Solange’s decision against having any bridesmaids, Tina spoke about her youngest daughter’s hives breakout.
“[Solange] went through the wedding and the sit-down dinner and she was just fine, and then they had a second line in the streets of New Orleans and she was dancing so hard, I think she just go overheated,” Tina recalls. “And the seafood, I think she had a reaction to it.”
Fortunately, Benadryl and cortisone creams helped out in a big way. “Solange took a shower and in two hours, she showed up at the reception and did the dance with her son and just had a ball,” Tina says before adding that Solo’s son Juelz and Beyonce‘s daughter Blue Ivy didn’t stay for the reception. “It was a grown folks party.”
