Image Courtesy Gomillion & LeupoldTinashe is preparing to release new music. After dropping her debut album, Aquarius, last October, the singer has announced plans to release a new mixtape via HotNewHipHop.com.
The singer revealed that her fourth mixtape is titled Amethyst and it will include seven new songs.
Shortly after fans learned of the title, some assumed that she was taking a jab at Iggy Azalea‘s name following the postponement of Azalea’s Great Escape Tour which Tinashe was set to open. Azalea was born Amethyst Kelly. Tinashe replied, “Its actually the birthstone of Aquarians born in February. Confused as to where there is shade in this.”
The follow-up to 2013’s Black Water will be released on March 16.
