ABC/Jeff Neira Toni Braxton was recently taken to a Los Angeles hospital, due to complications from lupus, but is now on the mend, according to her reps.
“Toni is resting at home and she is fine. She was in an L.A. hospital for a few days being treated for her lupus,” reps said in a statement.
“She has been released and starts rehearsals for her upcoming tour this week. She was not in serious condition, though lupus is a serious disease and must be monitored at all times,” Braxton’s representatives added.
Many fans of the Grammy award-winning artist first learned about Toni’s battle with lupus in 2011, when she revealed the nature of the disease to her family on their hit reality television show, Braxton Family Values.
She also appeared on The Dr. Oz Show in 2013 to talk about her diagnosis.
