Courtesy of WeTVToni Braxton‘s sisters Traci and Towanda Braxton are sharing their thoughts on Toni’s impending marriage to her fiance, Cash Money co-founder Birdman.
Last year, Toni told People Now that Birdman wanted to get married before the end of 2018, but it now appears that wedding plans are currently up in the air. Towanda tells ABC Radio that it’s unclear when Toni and Birdman will officially tie the knot.
“It’s like the Tootsie Roll Pop,” Towanda jokes. “And people ask how many licks does it take to get to the center– the world may never know. That’s where we are with that.”
But what is for certain is the couple’s love for each other. In fact, the entire Braxton squad has love for Toni’s soon-to-be hubby.
“And the thing I like about it [is] he has a different relationship with everybody,” Traci explains. “His relationship may not be like mine. He know I’m a clown all day and he just going to be there and laugh all the time and he know Towanda is going to be like one of the homeboys.”
Towanda confirms Traci’s take on the situation and gives an example of how Birdman leans on her when it comes to Toni, who he refers to as “Michelle” — her middle name.
“He’ll calls me for stuff, like, he’ll say, ‘Uh sis. Can you, uh, let me know where’s Michelle?'” Towanda says, imitating Birdman’s drawl. “Because he calls her Michelle. ‘Where’s Michelle? I need know to what time she gon’ be ready for this here.’ So, I say ‘Toni, when are you gon’ to be ready for this here?'”
