Travis Greene celebrates Christmas by renewing vows for his eighth wedding anniversary

by

The Icho GroupThis is a very special holiday season for gospel star Travis Greene:  He recently renewed his marriage vows to mark his eighth wedding anniversary.

The seven-time Stellar Award winner married his wife, Jacqueline, again on December 15, which was also her birthday. The emotional event occurred at the Forward City Church in Columbia, South Carolina, where they serve as co-pastors. Jacqueline was in tears as Travis presented her with a much more expensive ring than the one he gave her the first time around.

Greene shared a video of the new ring Instagram, and he commented in a loving message to his wife, “When I proposed to you almost 9 years ago, I gave you a ring that I could afford. It wasn’t much, but you treated it like it was priceless. I always told you that when I could do better, I would. I hope this new ring shows you just how much you mean to me. I love you eternally without conditions!”

After renewing their vows, the “You Waited” singer and his wife are looking forward to a joyous Christmas celebration next week.

“Favorite season — other than the weather — I love the holiday season,” Greene tells ABC Audio. “Christmas, we do it at the crib, and so we just do a big Christmas joint and people come over and it’s a lot of fun. It’s real loud. I’m a loud guy so I’m a big kid. My wife…she’s raising my three boys and me. I love the holidays.”

After three previous nominations, Travis hopes to take home his first Grammy in January. He’s up for Best Gospel Performance for “See The Light.”
