Trey Songz returns with a heartwarming video for his new song Back Home

by

Atlantic RecordsProud dad Trey Songz returns with a quarantine-style video for his new single, “Back Home,” while we’re all forced to stay at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The heartwarming video features a collage of clips of his family and his celebrity friends giving the world a glimpse of what life at home has been like since the quarantine began.

“One thing that’s certain is that we are right now in times that none of us have ever experienced,” the Grammy-nominated artist wrote of the new song on Instagram.  “I thought it would be special to put together a time capsule of both my intimate and extended family living through what we would have never imagined.”

Whether your’re working out, jamming to DJ D-Nice’s Instagram Live or playing Uno cards, millions are using this quarantine time to establish new hobbies and get in some much-needed family time, including cameo appearances by his baby boy, Noah.

The track samples New Edition‘s classic “If It Isn’t Love” with a hint of Camron and Juelz Santana’s 2002 hit, “Oh Boy,” tapping fellow R&B singer Summer Walker for assistance.

Other video clips include family haircuts in the kitchen, Trey practicing his jump shot on the basketball court, 50 Cent hitting the gym, and Megan Thee Stallion, who dropped her “Savage” remix with Queen Beyoncé yesterday, to benefit COVID-19 relief in Houston.

The video ends with a message thanking healthcare workers and “all of the individuals on the front lines keeping things going for us.”
