Tyler Perry and BET launching new streaming service on September

ABC/Rick RowellTyler Perry and BET are launching a new streaming service on September 19 which will feature his content, as well as a wide variety of programs created by other producers.

“We are thrilled to offer a streaming experience of content curated for the under-served African American audience with BET+,” Scott Mills, President of BET Network, says in a statement.

BET+ will feature Perry’s new series, The Oval, which is set in The White House. The service will also offer several of his previous productions, including films from the Madea series, and a selection of his stage plays: Meet the BrownsDaddy’s Little GirlsTemptation: Confessions Of A Marriage Counselor, and more.

In addition, the service will also premiere the original series First Wives Club, a remake of the 1966 Bette Midler comedy, this time starring Jill Scott.

BET+ will also debut stand-up comedy specials starring D.L. Hughley, Eddie Griffin, Nick Cannon, Lil Rel, and Sinbad.
