Superstar director/actor Tyler Perry recently made history in becoming he first African American to own a major film studio. He unveiled his elaborate 330-acre Tyler Perry Studio campus in the ATL earlier this month.
But, Perry is not done. During a recent interview with CBS This Morning, Perry said that he’s building a space that will serve as a “safe haven for homeless women, displaced LGBTQ youth and sex trafficking victims.”
“They live in nice apartments. There’s day care. There’s all of these wonderful things that allows them to reenter society. And then pay it forward again,” Perry continued. “So that’s what I hope to do soon.”
