ABC/Jeff NeiraAccording to Tyrese, “haters come in many forms” — and the R&B singer and actor made that known by posting a video on his Instagram account of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson viciously dissing Tyrese’s Black Rose album.
In the video, Johnson begins, “Just a little quick shout out to Tyrese. His new album — Black Rose. I just heard it. I literally just heard it.”
“I heard the whole thing in my trailer. And I’ve got to say, in all honesty, um, it’s the biggest piece of dog s*** that I have ever heard.”
He continues, “Everyone’s laughing, by the way, but it’s true, ’cause everybody’s heard it too. Everyone heard it, right?”
“Everyone’s like, ‘Yeah! Big piece of dog s***!’ Shouldn’t be called Black Rose, should be called big piece of black dog s***. That’s what it should be called.”
“I never wanna hear it again and I’m never gonna f****** forgive him for wasting my time,” added Johnson. “That is time I will never get back.”
Black Rose was released in 2015, so it’s not clear if this is the first time Johnson heard the disc, or if the video was old.
In Tyrese’s comments, one fan claimed that the video was made a while ago, and Johnson was joking around in a humorous attempt to help Tyrese promote the album.
Johnson and Tyrese began feuding after Tyrese blamed his Fate of the Furious co-star for delaying the franchise’s upcoming installment so that Johnson could develop a spin-off featuring his character, Hobbs.
As previously reported, Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel even chimed in on the controversy, saying that it was “unfair” to blame The Rock, or anyone else, for the release date of Fast 9 being pushed back to a later date.
