by

ABC/Image Group LAis back in the studio for Confession Part III, the fourth installment of the popular album series. The R&B veteran previewed new music during a performance at Live from the Cricket Lounge on Monday. After the clip surfaced on social media Tuesday, fans began speculating as to what truths Usher was admitting to.

“Remember that time I was sitting up sick, couldn’t sleep in the middle of the night?” Usher declares.  “You said bae let me take you to the ER, I said, ‘Nah, Imma be alright / Well the next day I found out from f****ing around that the sickness I had was life / And I was fixed with the decision to keep it, knowing I had to get rid of it, rid of it, live with it,” he sings. “It ain’t right, I ain’t proud. I won’t cry, I can’t hide.”

After the revelations, the singer asked the crowd, “You realize what I just told you?” as he smirked. “You don’t realize it, huh? Well you can play it back,” he added.

Over the years, Usher has been at the head of rumors circulating about his past relationships. The Confessions singer has been accused by multiple women of giving them herpes or failing to inform them he had it, prior to an intimate encounter. In 2012, he settled with a woman for $1.1 million who claimed he had transmitted the disease to her, although he never spoke on it.

On Confession II, Usher admitted to his past infidelities and fathering a child with another woman during his relationship with TLC‘s Chili, although she says he never cheated on her.
