Usher & Ella Mai remind us how to party in Don’t Waste My Time music video

Reminding us all how to party at home, Usher and Ella Mai have released the music video for his new single, “Don’t Waste My Time.”

In another world, Snoop Dogg is the chef providing all the sweet treats in the kitchen, the champagne is flowing and notable guests like Evan Ross, Jermaine DupriJustin and Christian Combs are hitting some heavy moves on the dance floor in a Morocco-inspired mansion with impeccable tile work.

The music video, directed by LeSean Harris, was likely shot weeks ago, before the heightened crisis around the COVID-19 coronavirus, judging by how physically close the people in it are.

Ella Mai steps in with her charming voice on the second verse, singing, “Ooh, late night/ Coffee in the morning, what a date night /Better play right / Don’t be timid when you in it, better lay right.”

Wednesday morning, the Confessions singer tweeted, “Huge thank you to everyone involved. Looking forward to the day when we can all be together again in one place. Until then stay healthy, stay home and be good to each other!”

“Don’t Waste My Time” debuted last December as the first taste of Usher’s upcoming album. He previewed the third installment of the Confessions series in a performance last month. He was also featured on Summer Walker‘s “Come Thru” and DJ Black Coffee‘s “LaLaLa.”

Usher is currently working on a new album, tapping a few old friends including Lil Jon, and Ludacris, giving us flashbacks to 2004’s “Lovers & Friends” and “Yeah!
