On Saturday, the Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter revealed her baby bump in two stunning maternity photos of herself on Instagram, draped in a gold glittery top, long skirt and a jeweled headpiece.
“I’m so happy to share that I’ve been promoted to the title just above Queen…Mom,” Monét wrote. “[I’ve] really been feeling like the ultra super Victoria cause my body is doing such miraculous work.”
She went on to pen a heartfelt message to her unborn bundle of joy.
“To my baby, I thank you for choosing me as your mommy!” Monét continued. “I hold my head higher with the confidence you already gift. You are the best of me and I promise to protect you and be the best version of myself for you all ways, always.”
Monét — who has written hits for Ariana Grande and Chris Brown, as well as Chloe x Halle‘s “Do It” — returned later with a video post dedicated to her beau and the child’s father, John Gaines.
“My best collaboration yet…due to drop Valentine’s Day 2021,” wrote Monét, sharing an intimate video of Gaines kissing her belly in a field. “I can’t wait for a lifetime of family moment with you.”
The video feature intimate moments between the couple while Monét’s Jaguar single, “Moment,” plays in the background, a nod to the music video in which Gaines starred.
“I have been blessed to do a lot of great things, but this is by far the greatest. Baby Gaines coming 2021,” wrote Gaines on Instagram.
