Victoria Monét wants to audition for a spot on tour with Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak‘s soulful supergroup Silk Sonic.
“Dear Silk Sonic, whenever the world can tour again ‘Would you please let me open?'” Monét tweeted Wednesday, along with a teaser video that channels back to trailers for her Jaguar EP.
“Mhmm…what if I got to open for them?,” she says in the video after playing a clip of Silk Sonic’s new track, “Leave the Door Open.”
For her audition tape, Victoria shared a live performance of her groovy single, “Jaguar,” on YouTube Thursday. The Grammy-nominated singer performed in a shimmering green blazer and crystal mesh tights, amongst a green highly decorative oasis of plants and bright lights. Monét was supported by a live band, trumpet players and dancing background singers.
Monét going on tour with Bruno and Anderson .Paak would be the ultimate groovy scene, with music heavily inspired by the ’70s.
Twitter fans are all here for Monét teaming up with the soulful duo, sharing tons of fire emojis and “OMG” comments.
“You’d be the perfect addition OMG,” wrote one fan, while another suggested all three singers join forces for what could be a hit “collaboration.”
