During her appearance on Sunday night’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Fox says her break-out character Candace is coming back.
“Yes, Candace that boogie b**** will be back for that final season,” Fox said in response to a caller’s question.
“And unfortunately, no, I haven’t spoke to Jussie, but he’s still family and I love him,” she added, regarding the fan’s second question.
As previously reported, FOX announced earlier this year that the upcoming sixth season of Empire would be its last.
Just last month, the Empire‘s co-creator Lee Daniels revealed that Smollett would not return to the FOX drama for the final season. However, Daniels says he hopes to continue the story of the Lyon family in another series.
“We’re trying something out, and if it works, then Empire is over and we have a great spin-off,” he said.
