The coronavirus has caused many people to lose their jobs since companies have been forced to close their businesses, but Walgreens wants to help anyone that may have lost their job due to this. Walgreens is currently looking to hire about 1,000 new workers in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Sean Barry, Walgreen’s Senior Director of Recruitment and Talent Acquisition said, “The bulk of the jobs are customer service associates. So that could be anything from working at the register to helping customers find product, stocking shelves..we also have pharmacy technicians and in some instances store managers as well.” They have also accelerated their hiring process that some employees had their interview in the morning and were working a shift later in the afternoon.
