Watch now: Megan Thee Stallion unveils self-directed Captain Hook visual

by

Johnny Nunez/WireImageLess than a week after dropping her Suga EP, Megan Thee Stallion has dropped the video for the rap cut “Captain Hook.”

The Houston Hottie is doing it all on her own this time around, starting with this self-directed visual. It begins with Megan writing a few bars at the studio and her bestie Kelsey Nicole coaching her all the way into the recording booth. Between showing off her impressive twerk skills and her no-holds-bared flow in the booth, Megan raps about, “I’m so indecisive, you can’t cuff me, but I’m wifey.”

But the party has just begun as Megan’s hotties and a few of her closest friends show up to the studio, and fellow Houston rapper Yella Beezy makes an appearance, setting the tone for the song’s inviting energy.

Co-produced by LilJuMadeTheBeat and Megan herself, “Captain Hook” is the second single from Suga, after last month’s single, “B.*.*.*.H.” The project was almost halted after failed efforts from label 1501 Certified Entertainment to prevent Megan from releasing new music. A Texas judge ruled in Megan’s favor, allowing Megan to drop her new music.

To accompany “Captain Hook,” Megan introduced the #CaptainHookchallenge Monday with a dance via Instagram. The video was originally made on Triller, but sparked movement across social media as fans began creating their own renditions of the dance.
