Watch trailers for Migos’ YouTube docu-series ‘Ice Cold,’ Questlove’s ‘Summer of Soul’ doc and more

Migos are executive producers of the new docu-series Ice Cold, which explores the untold connection between hip hop artists and the millions of dollars they spend on jewelry.

“It’s the history on jewels. It’s the history on diamonds,” says Quavo in a new trailer for the film, before Offset adds, “The hard work, the blood, sweat, and tears it took to get it.”

Takeoff also chimes in to tells viewers, “Make sure you tune in and watch that.”

Besides Migos, Ice Cold will feature Talib Kweli, A$AP Ferg, French Montana, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, City Girls, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty and New York emcee Slick Rick, who is widely known for his iced-out eye patches. Notable celebrity jewelers Johnny Dang and Ben Baller will also appear in the four-episode series from YouTube Originals.

From director Karma Gill, Ice Cold will exclusively premiere on Migos’ YouTube channel on Thursday, July 8.

Questlove also shared the trailer to his critically acclaimed documentary Summer of Soul (…Or When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised). The film celebrates Black history, culture and music with footage taken at the Harlem Cultural Festival in 1969, often referred to as “The Black Woodstock.”

Questlove dug into the archives for his directorial debut to include never-before-seen concert performances from Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Sly & the Family Stone, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Mahalia Jackson, B.B. King and more.

Summer of Soul is the first project from Disney’s Onyx Collective and will open in theaters and begin streaming on Hulu on July 2.

Meanwhile, Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo is set to produce and star in a remake of the 1979 film The Rose, according to Variety. The new film pays homage to the original movie, which starred Bette Midler.
