Monday morning, the media personality returned to the set of The Wendy Williams Show, to provide fans with a few life updates: namely the state of her health as well as her love life.
As previously reported, Williams was on leave from her talk show due to health concerns earlier this year. She’s now revealed that she was recently diagnosed with lymphoedema, after photos surfaced online of her ankles appearing to look swollen.
“Lymphoedema, by the way, I’ve been diagnosed,” she told the audience on Monday, explaining why her ankles were puffy in the images. “It’s not going to kill me, but I do have a machine — and how dare you talk about the swelling of it all.”
Williams reassured her fans that she was doing just fine despite her new ailment, and even teased that the machine that helps alleviate her swelling is a huge hit at parties.
“I’ve got it under control. If [the swelling] in my feet never goes all the way down, at least I have this machine,” the TV host explained. “I sit for 45 minutes a day. It’s the best party entertainer ever. Everybody [that] comes over wants to do it.”
This news follows Williams previously sharing that she had been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and Graves’ disease back in February.
As for her love life, the 54-year-old couldn’t help but gush about the new man in her life. Williams, who filed for divorce from estranged husband Kevin Hunter three months ago, claims she’s “not in love” but there’s somebody whom she’s “crazy about.”
While the talk show host didn’t share too many details on her mystery man, he is thankfully a doctor and certainly brings tears of joy to Williams’ eyes.
