Will Smith says he wasn’t crying during his Red Table Talk entanglement chat with wife Jada

by

Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagicWill Smith is setting the record straight. After his face was turned into a meme following his seemingly tearful reaction to his Red Table Talk with wife Jada Pinkett-Smith about her past “entanglement” with singer August Alsina, Smith says the look of anguish on his face was simply fatigue.

“It was midnight,” Smith began in a new YouTube video, responding to Pinkett-Smith’s explanation that “he wasn’t crying.”

“We were shooting at midnight because we were trying to rush to the airport in the morning and I was tired,” he explained.

According to Jada, she wanted to “stick to her gut and reshoot” the entire episode, which aired in July.

“That’s what I said,” Will agreed. “I said reshoot it, but it played out. Everybody’s like, ‘Poor Will.'”

Laughing, Will then mimics the face he made during the interview. Rolling her eyes, Jada sarcastically responds, “Oh God.”

“They loved themselves some Will,” Smith added, laughing. “They loved themselves some Will.”

As previously reported, Pinkett-Smith responded on an emergency Red Table Talk to Alsina’s claims that he had a close and intimate relationship with her, which Smith allegedly supported.

“I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation, due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership that they’ve spoken on several times, and it, you know, not involving romanticism,” Jada had said. “He gave me his blessing and I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life, and I truly and really, really, deeply loved and have a ton of love for her.”
