Focus on Sport/Getty ImagesYou will never guess who is Yolanda Adams‘ celebrity crush.
Over the weekend, the gospel legend appeared on the debut episode of OWN‘s new talk show, Girlfriends Check-In, spilling all the tea about her ’90s celebrity crush, Busta Rhymes.
That’s right, Mr. “Put Ya Hand Where My Eyes Can See.”
Adams was virtually joined by fellow gospel singers Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Erica Campbell of Mary Mary, and Tamela Mann, to talk about their celebrity crushes. Adams asked who they thought her celebrity crush was. Together the ladies guessed it was Busta Rhymes.
“Y’all know me so well!” Adams said confirming her crush on a short clip from the debut episode.
Adams recalled being label mates with Busta in the late 1990s, when he was a “gym rat,” consistently making his mark on hip-hop with his outrageous rhyme schemes, distinctive voices, and even wilder hair. Real fans remember Busta’s contagious single, “Woo Hah! Got You All In Check.”
Adams revealed a previous encounter, when Busta walked into her meeting with a label executive. Without saying the words, she revealed she was smitten with his physique while staring upward with her mouth hanging open.
Each week OWN‘s Girlfriends Check-In will feature a different foursome of celebrity female friends to sit down for a virtual discussion about love, friendship, and wellness.
OWN‘s Girlfriends Check-In airs every Saturday at 10 p.m. ET.
