Timothy Norris/WireImageYoung Thug wants in on the second season of Swizz Beatz and Timbaland‘s Verzuz series.

During an appearance on Gillie Da King‘s Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, the “Power” artist declared he’d only be interested in doing a Verzuz against Lil Wayne

“It would probably has to be Wayne because you gotta talk about the influence,” said Thugger. “You gotta talk about everything. It ain’t just rap. Everything falls behind that.”

Social media influencer Wallo Peoples suggested Thugger go against Meek Mill‘s dexterous rap flow, but Thugger said it’s more “about influence. [Be]cause your influence is bigger than rap.”

While Young Thug seems pretty confident in picking Lil Wayne as his opponent, some Twitter fans feel he’s out of his league. One fan wrote, “Young Thug WILL LOSE that Verzuz battle against Wayne,” while another said, Young Thug can’t even handle Slim Thug in a Verzuz battle.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Thugger made another shocking statement when he suggested he had more hits songs than Jay-Z. “We talking about anthems and songs they know. When I perform I got 30-40 songs that the whole stadium gone know,” he said.

Gillie responded, “That’s some powerful [stuff]. It’s not a lot of [artists] that can say that,” to which Thugger responded, “Jay-Z ain’t got 30 songs like that.”

According to Billboard, Thugger has recorded 57 Hot 100 Songs, including two #1s, one of which is “Hot,” featuring Travis Scott and Gunna. Meanwhile, rap vet Jay-Z has a total of 100 hits and four #1s on the chart, including his New York anthem “Empire State of Mind” with Alicia Keys.
