Rumors of a Yung Miami/Diddy romance have been swirling since the summer, and despite the fact that she’s rapping about him in her new “Rap Freaks” song, she completely denies they are involved.

The City Girls member recently posted and deleted a photo of her on a beach with a man many people believe to be the Bad Boy Entertainment CEO. She says they are just friends.

On the track she raps, “Took a jet to a private island on a date with Diddy/ Diddy let me put it in yo face like them roaches.” Miami then explains to Billboard the motivation behind the verse.

“Diddy was talking about how before he came up, he woke up to roaches on his face and that’s what motivated him to get money. I just thought it was a nice bar to throw in there,” she says. “That was just a rap, just something I said. It’s just wordplay. That’s my friend. I know Diddy, he’s really cool. He’s a really nice man.”

The 27-year-old rapper, born Caresha Romeka Brownlee, names over a dozen stars on the track, including Megan Thee Stallion, Meek Mill, and 50 Cent. She asks fans not to take it too seriously.

“The song is showing love to all the rappers right now, it’s nothing personal,” she says. “I’m just having fun.”

Miami states with a flat-out “no,” that she wouldn’t actually sleep with any of the artists named.

She joined Quavo for his “Strub Tha Ground” single, and her City Girls partner, JT, is featured on Summer Walker‘s new track, “Ex For A Reason. However, she wants fans to know City Girls are not breaking up.

“We can do outside features and still be a group,” she says.
