Fred Hammond is days away from his first live recording in 15 years, and he says that for those in attendance it will be an epic ‘sing a long’ night!
“It’s almost going to be like new hymns. I was blessed to kind of be a part of ushering in the whole contemporary movement with Commissioned” he said. “Now there’s this thing in my heart where I like to see people singing more than I like to see people watching me sing. It’s the best feeling of the night when you’re singing and you look out and see a young person mouthing the words and an older person mouthing the words and they’re singing at the top of their lungs, “Glory to Glory,” or “No Weapon” and their hands are raised. That’s the best for me, so this album is probably full of that from top to bottom, and that’s the level of praise and worship that this night is going to be from start to finish.”
Fred Hammond’s live recording will take place this coming Sunday, May 1st at The Fountain of Praise church in Houston.
