In a career that has span over 50 years, Pastor Shirley Caesar has a lot to be happy about including her new album “Fill This House” featuring the duet with Anthony Hamilton “It’s Alright It’s Ok,” but one thing that Caesar is NOT happy about is her inclusion in a new Heineken beer commercial.
“I pray that you’ve known my life long enough to know there’s no way in the world I would ever take part in a beer commercial. Not even a cigarette commercial,” she said.
The beer company uses Caesar’s song “I Feel Good”, a song that she wrote in 1966 for its latest commercial, and even though she wrote the song she doesn’t have the rights to the master so she has no legal say in how it is used.
