Israel Houghton and Adrienne Bailon’s relationship was unveiled few months ago during a media whirlwind which led to major internet rumors, in the process Houghton lost his job as worship leader at Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church and Bailon was attacked online.
The couple was recently engaged and in their first interview together on Bailon’s show “The Real”, Houghton reveals how he popped the question.
Hougton who was previously married for over 20 years says that this time it will be different.
“I was married before and I didn’t do the best job. I was a workaholic and gone all the time, so this time I want to get it right,” Houghton says. “This is her first wedding so it’s her dream being realized. There’s a pressure to that, but I welcome it. I want it to be everything she wants it to be and more.”
