Kirk Franklin says that the cure for the racial crisis that the United States is facing is prayer, and he’s calling for people to not only pray but to stand up and speak out for what is right.
“We have the spirit of redemption when we speak” he said. “When we say something, we want to bring it together, not separate it. When police are killed, we need to say something. When black boys are killed, we need to say something. And when we don’t say something, we’re saying something.”
Franklin made the comments earlier this week at the Dove Awards where he won for Gospel Artist of the Year.
