Marvin Sapp has a lot to be excited about! His new album “Close” has been nominated for a couple of major awards including a GRAMMY Award for Outstanding Gospel/Christian Album and an NAACP Image Award.
Sapp says that even though he’s been nominated for many awards throughout his career, it’s still exciting to have his work recognized.
“Even after more than 25 years in the music business, award nominations are an exciting and a tremendous honor,” he said. “My name does not have to be called, so I am humbled and grateful when it is. Thank you to both the Recording Academy and the NAACP Image Awards committee, and congratulations to all of my peers who are also nominated.”
The NAACP Image Awards ceremony will take place January 15th, and the GRAMMY Awards ceremony will take place January 28th.
