Late Breast Cancer Diagnoses Alarming…

Breast Cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, second only to lung cancer. According to a new study that was published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention found that African-American and Hispanic women were 30 to 60 percent more likely to be diagnosed with late-stage breast cancer than white patients in the study.  What is more alarming is that African-American women were more likely to be diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer, which is the deadliest type. Early detection is the key and that is why getting your annual mammogram is so important.
