Thurgood Marshal born in Baltimore Maryland was the great-grandson of a slave and is known as a champion for the people, a visionary credited for changing American Law. He was a civil rights crusader that became best known for having a high success arguing before the nation’s highest court and winning Brown v Board of Education, which made segregation in schools illegal. He was the first African American to be appointed to the United States Supreme Court in October 1, 1967.
