Texas Loosens Voter ID Law After Feds Threat

by

In 2016 U.S. Court Of Appeals for the 5th District in Texas said the Voter ID Law  intended to was discriminate. In 2017 Texas voting officials are afraid of oversight from the Federal Government and have announced they will ease the ID rules.

The previous restriction would allow a driver’s licence or handgun permit but not a college ID. New new changes will allow voters to prove identity with a utility bill, voter’s registration certificate or bank statement.
