Physicist and mathematician Katherine Johnson is celebrating her 99th today. She is the inspiration behind the blockbuster movie ‘Hidden Figures’. Mrs. Johnson calculated the trajectories, launch windows, and emergency back-up return paths for space flights at NASA. She conducted technical work at NASA for decades, including the missions of John Glen and Alan Shepard and the Apollo 11 flight to the Moon and the Space Shuttle program. (Source:Wikipedia)
