Texas Heat Wave Pushes Record Power Usage Plus

by

North Texas is heading into a fourth straight day of record heat and record power usage as consumers crank up the AC in an attempt to stay cool, according to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT).  We seen new record-breaking with temperatures as high as 110 in Dallas.

If the heat isn’t enough I ran across this report of Saharan Dust that can add to the particles in the air we are breathing in the Dallas area. This is causing many allergy sufferers to experience major discomfort on top of the heat. We are still under an Extreme Heat Advisory today with a high of 109 degrees this afternoon.
