Wanda Sykes Recalls Snubbing Michelle Obama

Wanda Sykes has a Netflix special, ‘Not Normal’. She tells the story of when she hosted the 2009 White House Correspondents Dinner and she was sitting next to former first lady, Michelle Obama. She said that Obama kept trying to make conversation with her but she was focused on getting ready to host so she kept blowing her off. She thinks she even looked at Obama and said, will you shut up. Don’t you see I’m over here going over my notes. Wanda caught up with Obama recently on her book tour and the two laughed about it. Obama said to her, I was just trying to make conversation and you wanted nothing to do with me. Awkward!!!!
