The world of hip hop is mourning today for the loss of a fellow Texans, Richard Stephen Shaw aka Bushwick Bill. We have confirmed that ‘Geto Boys’ member and hip hop pioneer, Bushwick Bill has passed away at the age of 52 after a bout with pancreatic cancer. Earlier in the day yesterday there were conflicting reports on whether or not Bill had passed, but his rep said in a statement that Bill did indeed pass away at 9:35 Sunday night surrounded by family and friends. According to his son Javon, Bill’s last words were, “I will love you forever.” Plans for a public memorial are underway for the hip-hop legend.
