Study: Your Bottled Water Might Contain Arsenic?

by

If you think drinking bottled water is good for your health, you might want to think again — especially if you buy it from Walmart, Target or Whole Foods. Researchers have found high levels of arsenic in brands sold by the retail giants. The Center for Environmental Health found the dangerous substance in two brands, Penafiel and Starkey. Penafiel is carried by Target and Walmart, while Starkey is sold by Whole Foods. The findings were confirmed by Consumer Reports, which found both brands contained nearly double the federal arsenic limit. Arsenic is known to cause cancer, damage reproductive systems, harm organs and disrupt hormones. The FDA has not recalled either brand. I wonder why do you think a recall hasn’t been issued?
